Winter Park Tennis Center: What are the prices and membership options? Here is a complete price list!
Okay, so I’ve been meaning to get back into tennis lately, and I finally took the plunge today. I went down to the Winter Park Tennis Center, a place I’d heard good things about. It’s at 1075 Azalea Ln, easy enough to find. I drove over, parked my car, and went inside to see what’s up.
First thing I noticed, this place is legit. They’ve got 16 courts in total, which is a lot. Even better, 8 of those are clay courts, which I prefer. Clay is way easier on the knees, you know? All of the courts have lights, too, so playing in the evening is no problem.
I walked up to the counter and asked about getting on a court. Turns out, you need a permit to play, or you can get a single-play permit. I went for the single-play since I was just checking it out. They only take cash, just so you know, which is kind of old school. For the hard courts, it’s 5 bucks plus tax, and for clay, it’s 6 bucks plus tax. Not bad at all.
They also had a hitting wall. I love it! It means that I can practice alone when I don’t find partners.
Since I was just messing around, I grabbed a hard court, paid my fee, and headed out. The courts were in pretty good shape. I spent about an hour just hitting balls, working up a sweat. It felt great to be back out there.
After I finished up, I checked out the facilities. They’ve got bathrooms, which are always a plus. And they have water fountains, so you can stay hydrated. All in all, it’s a really nice setup.

I’m definitely going back to the Winter Park Tennis Center. Maybe I’ll look into getting a membership. They have a local tennis association, which is around $300 a year, and that gets you access to all their courts. They also have USTA leagues, which are about $40-$70 per team per season. It’s a solid spot to play some tennis, whether you’re a serious player or just a casual like me.
Oh, and one last thing, I saw a sign that said the place is managed by the Winter Park Parks & Recreation Department. So, it’s all official and well-maintained, which is great.
So yeah, if you’re in the Winter Park area and looking for a place to play tennis, I’d definitely recommend checking this place out. It’s a good time.
