I placed the order, and then the waiting game began. You know how it is, you keep refreshing the tracking page, hoping for an update. When it finally arrived, I tore into the package like a kid on Christmas morning.
And you know what? The seller was right! This thing was pristine. This is a 6-CD box set, and it’s a Japanese import, which makes it even cooler. I popped open the box, and there they were, six discs, all snug in their case. The teeth of the disk holder were all intact, just like the seller promised.
Flipping through the liner notes, I saw that this box set covers the soundtracks from “Godzilla vs. The Smog Monster” all the way to “Terror of Mechagodzilla”. That’s five classic Godzilla films, plus a bonus CD. You’ve got music from the legends: Akira Ifukube, Masaru Satoh, and Riichiro Manabe. Talk about a power trio! This collection focuses on the Showa Series, which is a big plus for me.
I immediately put the first disc into my player. The music started, and boom – instant nostalgia. I was transported back to those classic monster battles. I spent the rest of the afternoon just soaking it all in. Each soundtrack is a masterpiece. And you can bet I listened to that bonus CD too, called “Godzilla 3.”
This purchase was a total win. The seller delivered exactly what they promised, and I couldn’t be happier. This box set is definitely going to be a centerpiece of my collection.
