They also keep track of all sorts of stats, you know, like how many times a fella runs with the ball or catches it. They call ’em statewide stat leaders. Seems like a lot of work to keep track of all that, but I guess somebody’s gotta do it.
And the games, they ain’t just somethin’ you watch on a little screen. They’re big events, with pregame stuff and all. Folks get together, tailgate, eat hot dogs and burgers. It’s a whole to-do. Then you got the game itself, and after that, they talk about it for days. Live and final scores, they call it. You know, whether they won or lost and by how much.
I even heard tell about a game on Friday, September 27th, 2024. Now that’s way in the future, but folks are already plannin’ for it, I bet. That’s how important this Akron St Vincent St Mary Football is ’round here. It’s more than just a game; it’s a part of life.
