Alright, alright, lemme tell ya ’bout this Sunnyvale tennis place, ya know, the one with the camera watchin’ the court.
Sunnyvale Tennis Center, that’s what they call it. Big place, lots of courts, more than you can shake a stick at, I tell ya. They got lights too, so you can play even when the sun goes down. Ain’t that somethin’? Folks are playin’ tennis there all the time, mornin’, noon, and night.
I heard tell they got lessons too. For the young’uns and the old-timers, guess they teach ya how to whack that fuzzy ball proper. Never played myself, too busy with the chickens and the garden, but looks like fun, all that runnin’ around and hittin’. They got a shop there too, sells all sorts of tennis stuff. Rackets, balls, shoes, the whole shebang. Don’t know what half of it is, but they got it, that’s for sure.
- They got lots of courts, like, 16 of ’em, can you believe it?
- And they’re lit up, so you can play when it gets dark.
- They teach you how to play, if you don’t know how.
- And they sell all the stuff you need to play.
This place, it’s in some park, Las Palmas Park, they call it. Big park, I reckon, with this big ol’ tennis center right smack in the middle of it. People come from all over to play there, I hear. Even folks from San Jose, that’s a ways away, they come all the way to Sunnyvale just to play tennis. Must be somethin’ special about it.
Heard someone talkin’ ’bout a “STC Clinic”, sounded fancy. Said somethin’ ’bout “Combo” and “Elite” too. Don’t ask me what that means, probably just a bunch of city folk talk. But they was sayin’ it was on, so I guess it’s important. Maybe it’s one of them lessons they give.
And that camera, the one watchin’ the court? I guess folks like to watch other folks play. Maybe they’re learnin’ somethin’, or maybe they just like seein’ who’s winnin’ and who’s losin’. Folks are funny that way, always wantin’ to know what everyone else is doin’.
This Sunnyvale Tennis Center, it’s a real hubbub of activity. Always somethin’ goin’ on, people comin’ and goin’, balls flyin’ everywhere. If you like tennis, or if you just like watchin’ people, I guess it’s the place to be. Me? I’ll stick to my chickens, but it’s good to know there’s a place for folks to go and have some fun, swingin’ rackets and whatnot.
They got this website too, or somethin’, but it wouldn’t let me see much. Just said somethin’ about Sunnyvale Tennis. Hmph, city folk and their fancy contraptions.
Anyways, that’s the gist of it. Sunnyvale Tennis Center, big place, lots of courts, lots of tennis playin’. Go on down there and take a look if you want, just don’t get hit by one of them fuzzy balls, they come flyin’ fast!
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go feed them chickens.
