Clemson Rugby, What’s the Big Deal?
First off, they got a men’s team, see? And these boys ain’t just playin’ around. I heard they’re ranked real high, like number three in the whole country for their kind of teams. That’s Division I-AA, whatever that means. Sounds important though. They play hard, them fellas do. Tough as nails, I reckon.
They got this YouTube channel, where they put up videos of their games and stuff. You can watch ’em if you want, see them boys runnin’ around with that funny-shaped ball. It ain’t round like a basketball, that’s for sure. More like a big, ol’ egg. They call it a “gotigers”, I think, whatever that is.
Playing Kentucky for the Championship
Now, these Clemson boys, they’re in some kinda championship game. Against Kentucky, another bunch of tough fellas. I heard Kentucky, they won their game pretty easy, just like Clemson. So, this championship, it’s gonna be a real battle. I tell ya, them boys gonna be beatin’ each other up good.
- Clemson beat whoever they played.
- Kentucky beat South Carolina, score was 29 to 15. That South Carolina team, they tried hard, but Kentucky was just too strong. They scored right off the bat, somethin’ about a high ball, and South Carolina couldn’t catch it.
- So now it’s Clemson versus Kentucky. Gonna be a good one, I bet.
Who are these Clemson Rugby People?
They got coaches, of course. Every team needs a coach, tellin’ the boys what to do and all. They got a bunch of players, too. Young fellas, strong and fast. They run around like crazy, chasing that egg-ball. I don’t know all their names, there’s too many of ’em. But they all wear the same colors, orange and purple I think, so you know they’re on the same team.
They also lookin’ for new players, they call it recruitment. They got a form and everything. If you’re a young fella and you like runnin’ around and beatin’ on other fellas, maybe you should try out. They got a schedule too, tellin’ ya when they playin’ and who they playin’ against. You can find it online, I reckon.
Where Do They Play?
They got a home field, somewhere in Clemson I guess. I ain’t never been there, but I heard it’s a nice place. They play their games there, and folks come to watch. Cheer for their team, yell and scream, the whole shebang. It’s like a big ol’ party, except with more beatin’ and less eatin’.
What Else is There to Know?
Well, they got a Facebook page too, somethin’ called @ClemsonRugby. You can go there if you want, see what they’re up to. Pictures, videos, scores, all that kinda stuff. They even do live videos sometimes. I watched one the other day, but it was all blurry and I couldn’t figure out what was goin’ on. Too much runnin’ around for my old eyes.
So that’s about all I know about this Clemson rugby. They’re a good team, them boys. Play hard, fight hard, and try to win. Just like life, I reckon. You gotta fight for what you want, and you can’t never give up. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make myself some supper. All this talkin’ has made me hungry.
