I saw some old pictures, them Japan fellas, way back when, they had shirts too. Looked kinda like regular shirts to me, nothin’ too fancy.

Can you wear these shirts just for fun?
Sure, why not? You don’t gotta be playin’ no rugby to wear a rugby shirt. It’s just like one of them long-sleeved shirts, you know? You can wear it with jeans, or them fancy pants, or even skirts, if you’re a gal. Wear it with shorts in the summer, keep ya warm in the winter under somethin’ else. Pretty handy, I’d say. Like them sweaters, but a bit different.
Where can you find USA rugby stuff?
Well, there’s places sellin’ all sorts of USA rugby gear. Old-timey cotton shirts, them star and stripe balls they use, and t-shirts too. They keep addin’ more stuff, seems like. Always somethin’ new to buy, if you got the money, that is. I ain’t got much money to be spendin’ on such things, but I seen ‘em in the stores sometimes. Looks nice enough.
So, what makes a good rugby shirt?
I reckon it’s gotta be tough, so it don’t rip when them fellas are grabbin’ and pullin’ at each other. Gotta be comfortable too, I imagine. Can’t be runnin’ around in somethin’ that’s scratchy or too tight. And it’s gotta look good, I guess. People like them bright colors and fancy designs. Though, I always liked a plain old shirt myself. Less fuss.
Why do they even wear special shirts anyway?
Well, it’s so you know who’s on which team, see? One team wears one color, the other wears another. Easy peasy. And I guess it helps them stick together, like a uniform, you know? Makes ’em feel like a team, I reckon. Like them soldiers, they wear uniforms too.
Is it important to have the right gear?
Well, if you wanna play good, I guess it helps. Can’t be runnin’ around in your Sunday best, now can ya? Gotta have the right shoes, the right shorts, and the right shirt. Makes you feel ready to go, I figure. Like when I bake a pie, I gotta have the right ingredients and the right pan, or it just don’t turn out right.
So, there you have it. That’s what I know about these USA rugby uniforms. Ain’t no rocket science, just shirts and shorts and such. But they important for them fellas playin’ the game, and they can be nice to wear just about anytime, if you like that sort of thing.
