Okay, so, I wanted to mess around with some college football fantasy stuff, right? Figured I’d give Fantrax a shot since I heard they have a pretty customizable system for NCAA stuff. I started by just going on the website and signing up, which was normal. I used my email, I created an account and gave some details, that was nothing special.
Then, I decided to create a league. I clicked around a bit, and there it was, the “Create League” button. Boom, clicked it. Filled in some basic info, like the league name and the number of teams. Pretty standard. I decided to make it a 12-team league, just to see how it would work with a larger group.
Now, the real fun started when I started setting the scoring rules. Fantrax lets you tweak everything. You want to give points for every little thing? You can. I messed around with the settings for touchdowns, interceptions, sacks, all that jazz. Tried to make it as exciting as possible, you know? Kept it simple, though, because it’s my first time trying this out.
Next up, I started to think about roster settings. Fantrax lets you do the regular positions, like QB, RB, WR, TE, but then they also have these “Superflex” and “2QB” options. I looked at it and thought about it and decided to try out the Superflex thing. Basically, it means you can start an extra player, and that player can be a QB, RB, WR, or TE. Sounded cool, so I went with it. It was definitely an experience picking players for that. I also set the salary cap, made sure to keep it realistic.

Everyone was picking players, making trades, you could feel the excitement. I really wanted to make sure I got good players for my team, so I did my best to find out which players were doing well.
The season started, and it was a blast. We were all trash-talking each other, bragging about our players, it was awesome. Fantrax has this feature where you can challenge other teams, which added a whole new level of competition. It was fun to try and call out other people’s teams when their players weren’t performing that well.
So What’s the Verdict?
Honestly, Fantrax is pretty good for college fantasy football. It’s way more customizable than other sites I’ve seen. They have a premium option too, which unlocks even more settings, but I didn’t even need that to have a good time. If you’re into college football and want to try a fantasy league, I’d say give Fantrax a shot. It was a blast for me and my friends, and we’re definitely doing it again next season.
I’m not saying it’s perfect, though. It took some time to figure out all the settings, and the interface can be a little confusing at times. But overall, it was a great experience. So yeah, go try it out if you are looking for something new!
