Alright, so, let’s talk about this Tiffanie Adams girl from Sullivan, Indiana. Real sad story, that one. Poor thing, just 20 years old, you know? And pregnant too, carrying her first baby, little Brynsten Edward Adams, they were gonna call him. This happened back around New Year’s, 2014, I think. Folks said she was a real sweet girl, loved by everyone. Lived with her boyfriend, Donnie Barron, they said. Close to her family too, or so it seemed.
Then, poof! She just disappears. Gone. One day she’s there, all happy and expecting, and the next, nobody knows where she is. Police started looking, of course, trying to figure out what happened. Took ‘em a while, I tell ya. Nine months later, they found her phone in Sullivan Lake. Can you believe that? Nine months! The phone records, they showed she called and texted her stepfather, her mother, and some others. Folks started whispering, you know how it is in small towns.

- Eight months gone, they whispered.
- Ready to pop any day now.
Then this Johnus Orr fella comes into the picture. Turns out he’s her stepbrother. And wouldn’t you know it, they start looking at him real hard. Something about him just didn’t sit right, I guess. His ex-wife, Amber, she talked to the police. Told them some things that made the hair on your arms stand up. Said stuff about the day Tiffanie went missing, stuff that made Johnus look real bad.
So, they haul this Johnus Orr into court, in June of 2016, it was. Charged him with two counts of murder, one for Tiffanie and one for that little baby she was carrying. The trial was a big deal, everyone in town talking about it. Amber, his ex-wife, she testified, told the jury what she knew. And the jury, they listened. They looked at the evidence, they heard the stories, and they decided.
Guilty. That’s what they said. Guilty on both counts. Killed his own stepsister and her unborn child. Can you imagine? The cruelty of it all. They found Tiffanie, you see, and that little baby too. Dead. December 30th, they found ‘em. Heartbreaking, it was. Just heartbreaking.
Now, this Johnus fella, he knew Tiffanie was pregnant. Eight months pregnant, like I said. That’s what made it even worse, you know? Taking the life of a young woman and her innocent baby. Just terrible. They said he was found guilty on a Friday, July 1st, 2016. Justice, I guess, but it don’t bring Tiffanie or that little baby back, does it?
So yeah, that’s the story of Tiffanie Adams from Sullivan, Indiana. A young girl, full of life, taken too soon. And that little baby, never even got a chance. It’s a sad, sad tale, and it makes you think, you know? Makes you think about the darkness in the world, and the things people do to each other. It’s a reminder to hold your loved ones close, and to appreciate every day you got, ‘cause you never know when it’ll all be taken away.
They said she disappeared May 15, 2014. Police searched everywhere, desperate for answers. Just disappeared from her home, they said. Imagine that, the fear, the not knowing. Awful, just awful. And that poor boyfriend, Donnie, and her family… They must’ve been going crazy with worry. It’s a pain you can’t even imagine, losing a child, losing a loved one like that. And in such a horrible way.
So that’s the story, as best as I can tell it. A young girl gone too soon, a baby never born, and a family left with a hole in their hearts that’ll never heal. It’s a story that makes you sad, and it makes you angry, but it’s a story that needs to be told, so we don’t forget. So we don’t forget Tiffanie and little Brynsten Edward Adams.
