Okay, so, I wanted to figure out how to request a trade in MLB The Show 24. I’ve been playing these games for a while, and it used to be pretty straightforward. You’d just tell your agent you’re not happy and want out. But this time around, I couldn’t find that option anywhere. I looked it up on Google and the search results confirmed that MLB The Show 24 doesn’t have the option to request a trade anymore.
So I started digging around online. Turns out, I wasn’t the only one confused. I saw a bunch of posts from other players saying the developers, SDS, had removed the ability to request a trade. And nobody seemed to know why. It’s a real head-scratcher, you know?
But, I’m not one to give up easily. I kept searching and found a workaround. It’s not ideal, but it works. If you really want to switch teams, you can do it through the Franchise mode. Here’s how I did it:
- First, I went into the settings menu in Franchise mode and turned on “Force Trades”.
- Then, I headed over to the trade screen and just made the swap myself.
It’s not the same as having your player character request a trade, but hey, it gets the job done. I guess it’s all about your stats and how well you’re playing. You gotta perform like a pro if you want to get noticed. Keep hitting those home runs, and maybe, just maybe, you’ll get moved to where you want to be.
I remember back in the day, it was all about letting your agent know you weren’t happy. Now, it seems like they took that whole thing out. It’s a bit of a bummer, but I guess we gotta roll with the punches, right?
So, there you have it. That’s how I managed to force a trade in MLB The Show 24. It’s not perfect, but it’s something. Hopefully, this helps some of you out there who were as confused as I was.
I’ve also seen others are sharing how they set up trades when looking for feedback, but honestly, do it however you want. There’s no right or wrong way, just do what feels best for you and your team.
Anyway, I just wanted to share my experience and what I found. Maybe SDS will bring back the old way of requesting trades in the future, who knows? Until then, we’ll just have to make do with this workaround. Game on, folks!
