St Augustine Beach and Tennis Resort: Amenities or What to Expect from Your Beach Stay
Okay, so here’s the story about my time at the St. Augustine Beach and Tennis Resort.
First off, I started looking for a place to stay in St. Augustine Beach. I wanted something that would work for the whole family, you know, and wouldn’t totally break the bank. So, I started searching online, just browsing different websites and comparing prices.
I looked at all kinds of places, from regular hotels to resorts and even motels, B&Bs, hostels, whatever you name it. I was mostly looking for a nice place with a good swimming pool, air conditioning, maybe a hot tub, or a grill to cook outside. Also, free Wi-Fi and a full kitchen would be nice.
I read tons of reviews, checked out pictures, and even used the map feature on some sites to see exactly where each place was. It was a whole process, let me tell you.
Then I started filtering my options based on the amenities that were most important to us. A pool was a must-have, obviously, and having a full kitchen is always great. Free Wi-Fi was also pretty high on the list. After a lot of comparing and digging, I finally narrowed it down to a few places that seemed like a good fit.
The Resort Itself
After booking, I arrived at this resort. It was pretty sweet, I gotta say. They’ve got all the good stuff there, like fishing spots, a splash park for the kids, and even a pavilion you can rent out for parties and stuff. There are restrooms, picnic tables, and showers, which was super convenient. They even had a visitor center, and lifeguards during certain times of the year.
- Fishing: I tried my hand at fishing, didn’t catch much, but it was relaxing.
- Splash Park: The kids loved this! It was a great way for them to cool off and have some fun.
- Picnic: We had a nice little picnic one day. It was simple but really enjoyable.
- Swimming: The beach was great, and I made sure not to swim within 400 feet of the St. Johns County Ocean Fishing Pier. There are lifeguards from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend, which made me feel safer.
Exploring the Area
St. Augustine is packed with stuff to do. You’ve got old forts, really quaint beaches, and all kinds of wildlife. I learned that it’s known as the oldest city in America, and it’s got over 41 miles of shoreline, which is pretty wild. We checked out some of the historic sites, which was cool, and just enjoyed being by the ocean. It was fun. Really made our trip memorable.
Overall, I had a great time, my family had a great time, and I think it’s a good place to stay when you come here, and it is worth the price.
