Well, let me tell you ’bout this Bo Jackson fella. He was somethin’ else, lemme tell ya. Strong as an ox and fast as a rabbit. Played both football and baseball, like nobody I ever seen.
Bo Jackson, the Two-Sport Star
Folks say he was born in Alabama, back in ’62. Played for the Kansas City Royals in baseball and the Los Angeles Raiders in football. Didn’t play too long, but boy, did he make a mark. People still talkin’ ’bout him, sayin’ he was one of the best all-around athletes ever. Imagine that!
- Football star with the Raiders
- Baseball whiz with the Royals
Now, they make these things called cards, ya know? Like pictures of players on little pieces of cardboard. Folks collect ’em. Bo Jackson, he’s got a bunch of cards. Some are worth a pretty penny, I hear.
Those Valuable Cards
I heard tell some of them cards can be real expensive. Like that Mickey Mantle card, sold for millions! Can ya believe it? Millions! Bo Jackson’s cards, maybe not that much, but some are worth a good bit, I reckon. Especially the ones from when he was first startin’ out.
I saw one of them cards online, they call it a “1986 Topps Traded Tiffany #50T” they say it could be worth somethin’ like $2. Two whole dollars, mind you!
Where to Find Bo Jackson Cards and Sell ‘Em
If you’re lookin’ to get yer hands on some Bo Jackson cards, or maybe sell some you got layin’ around, there’s a few places you can go. Folks talk about this “eBay” place, on the internet, ya know? Or “Craigslist,” they say. Seems like you can find just about anything on there. Or you could sell ’em to a friend, if they collect that sort of thing.
Now, if you got a whole bunch of fancy, valuable cards, you might wanna talk to a card dealer. They got folks who know all about these things, and they might buy ’em off ya. Or you could go to one of them card shows. I seen ’em advertised sometimes, folks gatherin’ to buy and sell cards. It’s a whole thing, let me tell ya.
I heard tell you can even find baseball stuff on somethin’ called “Etsy”. Folks sell all sorts of things on there, even stuff for playin’ ball at home. Funny, ain’t it?
Bo Jackson’s Big Money Contract
Speakin’ of money, I heard Bo Jackson made a pile of it playin’ ball. Back in ’91, they say he signed a contract for over two million dollars! Just for one year! Can you imagine? That’s more money than most folks see in a lifetime. That’s what playin’ both football and baseball could do for ya, I guess.
Anyways, that’s the gist of it. Bo Jackson, a great athlete, his cards, and where you might find ’em. Hope that makes some sense to ya. It’s all a bit much for an old lady like me, but I try to keep up.
