Score Big with the 2023-24 Optic Basketball Checklist Guide
Alright, let’s talk about this 2023-24 Optic Basketball Checklist. I ain’t no expert, but I know a thing or two about these cards, you know, the ones the young’uns are always fussin’ over.
Now, first things first, they got this thing called a “base set.” Sounds fancy, huh? Well, it’s just a bunch of cards, 250 of ’em, to be exact. Most of ’em are them regular players, the fellas you see on TV all the time, about 200 of ’em. Then they got these “Rated Rookies”, the new kids on the block, 50 of those.
Heard tell they got this fella, Victor Wembanyama, or somethin’ like that. Folks are goin’ crazy for his cards. Says he’s the next big thing. Guess we’ll see.
- Base Set: Like I said, 250 cards. Veterans and rookies. Nothin’ too special, but ya gotta have ’em.
- Rated Rookies: These are the ones the collectors really want. Especially that Wembly-wambly fella.
They got these boxes, too. “Hobby Boxes,” they call ’em. One autograph in each box, they say. Fancy signature on a card. Don’t know why folks get so worked up about it, but hey, to each their own.
Now, when do these cards come out? Well, I heard some folks got ’em early, like May 30th. But the real date, when everyone can get ’em, that’s June 14th. Mark your calendars, if you’re into that sort of thing.
Then there’s all these different types of cards, shiny ones, colored ones, numbered ones. They call ’em “parallels.” Holo, Blue, Black Pandora, Gold, Green, and this Gold Vinyl thing. Sounds like a bunch of mumbo jumbo to me, but the collectors, they love it.
The Blue ones, they only make 49 of ’em. Black Pandora, 25. Gold, just 10. Green, only 5! And that Gold Vinyl? One of a kind! Can you believe it? Folks spendin’ good money on these things.
And the “Rated Rookie Signatures”? Well, those are the real prizes. You get those shiny parallels with the autographs, well, you’re sittin’ pretty. Especially if you get that Wembly-wambly fella. Heard his cards are worth a whole lotta dough.
Now, I ain’t got a clue what all this means, but I know folks are lookin’ for this “checklist” thing. It’s like a list of all the cards you can get. Helps ’em keep track, I guess. They say they’ll put it out later. Probably don’t want us old folks gettin’ our hands on it too soon.
So, to sum it up, this 2023-24 Optic Basketball thing, it’s got cards, lots of ’em. Veterans, rookies, autographs, shiny stuff, numbered stuff. Comes out in June, mostly. And that Wembly-wambly fella? He’s the one everyone wants. That’s about all I know. Don’t ask me no more questions, my head’s already spinnin’.
2023-24 Panini Contenders Optic Basketball, they call it. Sounds like a mouthful to me. But hey, if it makes them young’uns happy, and keeps ’em outta trouble, well, I ain’t complainin’. Just wish they wouldn’t spend all their money on cardboard, but what do I know? I’m just an old woman.
They talk about “box breakdowns” and “reviews” and all that. Seems like a whole lot of fuss over some pictures on cardboard. But like I always say, different strokes for different folks.
So, if you’re lookin’ for these 2023-24 Optic Basketball cards, good luck to ya. Hope you find that Wembly-wambly fella. And if you do, maybe you can explain to me what all the fuss is about. Until then, I’ll just stick to my knitting. It’s a whole lot cheaper, and it keeps my hands busy.
Just remember, June 14th. That’s the important date. Unless you’re one of them fancy folks who get it early on May 30th. And don’t forget about them parallels! The Blue, the Black Pandora, the Gold, the Green, and that one-of-a-kind Gold Vinyl. And of course, them Rated Rookie Signatures. Especially that Wembly-wambly kid. He’s the golden ticket, or so they say. Good luck hunting!
