Alright, let’s talk about this rugby thing, you know, the one with New Zealand and the USA. I saw some folks playin’ it on TV the other day, all them fellas runnin’ around and bumpin’ into each other. Looked like a bunch of bulls in a china shop, if you ask me.
New Zealand, Them All Blacks
Now, this New Zealand team, they call ’em the All Blacks. Heard they’re real good, like the best or somethin’. Folks say they win all the time. I reckon they must be trainin’ hard, eatin’ their wheaties and such. They got some big boys, too, strong as oxen. Saw ’em runnin’ with that ball, nobody could stop ’em. They just plow through, like a tractor in a muddy field.

- Always seem to win
Heard tell they beat the USA pretty bad a while back. Somethin’ like a hundred points to nothin’ much. That’s a whoppin’, that is. I mean, a hundred points? That’s more points than I got chickens in my yard, and I got a lot of chickens! Guess the USA fellas weren’t ready for that kind of beatin’.
USA, Them Eagles, Tryin’ Hard
The USA team, they call ’em the Eagles. They’re tryin’, bless their hearts, they’re tryin’. But they ain’t quite as good as them All Blacks, not yet anyways. They got some spirit, though. Saw ’em scrappin’ and fightin’ for every inch. Reminds me of my old rooster, always peckin’ at the bigger hens, even when he knows he’s gonna get whipped.
They gotta learn to hold onto that ball better, though. Seemed like every time they got it, them All Blacks would just snatch it away. Like takin’ candy from a baby, it was. And their tacklin’, well, it could use some work too. Them All Blacks were just runnin’ right through ’em, like they weren’t even there.
The Games, Win or Lose
I watched some highlights, you know, them little bits of the game they show on TV. Saw them All Blacks scorin’ all them points. Looked easy for ’em, too easy if you ask me. The USA fellas, they scored a few times, but it wasn’t enough. Not near enough.
Rugby, a Rough Game
This rugby game, it’s a rough one. All that runnin’ and hittin’, it ain’t for the faint of heart. Reminds me of the old days, when the farmers would wrestle each other at the county fair. Good, clean fun, they called it, but somebody always ended up with a black eye or a bruised rib. This rugby’s kinda like that, only with a ball and a whole lot more runnin’.
My Thoughts on It All
So, what do I think about this New Zealand versus USA rugby thing? Well, I reckon New Zealand’s gonna win most of the time. They’re just too strong and too good. But the USA, they got potential. They just gotta keep workin’ at it, keep practicin’, keep gettin’ stronger. Maybe someday they’ll be able to give them All Blacks a run for their money.
But for now, it’s like watchin’ a hawk chase a sparrow. You know who’s gonna win, but you still hope the sparrow puts up a good fight. And that’s what the USA fellas gotta do, keep fightin’, keep tryin’, and maybe, just maybe, they’ll surprise us all one day.
Future Matches, Who Knows?
They’ll probably play again sometime, these two teams. And I’ll probably watch it, if I ain’t got nothin’ better to do. It’s kinda entertainin’, seein’ all that runnin’ and hittin’. And who knows, maybe the USA will pull off a miracle. Stranger things have happened, I reckon. Like that time my old cow Bessie won first prize at the fair, even though she was the laziest cow in the whole county.
So, that’s my take on this whole rugby thing. New Zealand’s good, USA’s tryin’, and it’s a rough game. Nothin’ more to it than that, I reckon. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go feed my chickens.
