New Zealand Rugby San Diego: Where to Watch and Play the Game in Town

Well, let me tell you somethin’. My old eyes seen a thing or two about this New Zealand rugby, they sure are somethin’. Heard they’re comin’ to San Diego, that place down south. Big stadium, I hear. Snapdragon, they call it. Fancy name for a place to watch folks run around with a ball, ain’t it?

These New Zealand fellas, they’re tough as old boots. Playin’ against Fiji, another bunch of strong folks. Never seen ’em play myself, but I hear they’re good. July 19th, that’s the day. 7:30 at night. Sun’ll be settin’, I reckon. Good time for a game, I suppose. Not too hot, not too cold.

They call ’em the All Blacks, these New Zealand rugby players. All Blacks, like they’re wearin’ black clothes or somethin’. I reckon they’re just tryin’ to look tough. But they sure can play, they gonna play in San Diego. Seen ’em on the TV a time or two. Run like the wind, they do. Strong as oxen, too. Don’t want to get in their way when they’re chargin’ down the field.

This fella, Robertson, he’s the boss of ’em now. He’s got ’em playin’ against England first, somewhere called Dunedin and Auckland. Far away places, those are. Then they come to San Diego. Long way to travel just to play a game, ain’t it? But I guess that’s what they do. That is what they do to play New Zealand rugby.

They say it’s the first time these two teams, New Zealand and Fiji, playin’ each other in America. First time! Well, I’ll be. Guess folks in San Diego are in for a treat. Big deal, I reckon. Lots of folks’ll go watch, I bet.

If you like watchin’ big, strong men run around and throw a ball, then this is the game for you. Me, I’d rather watch the chickens in the yard. More entertainin’, I think. But hey, to each their own, right? If you go to San Diego, you can see them.

This game, it’s gonna be a big one. Heard folks talkin’ about it down at the store. Sayin’ it’s gonna be a sell-out. Everyone wants to see these All Blacks play. They’re famous, you see. Like those movie stars, but for rugby. And they play in San Diego!

I remember back in my day, we didn’t have all this fancy stuff. Just played in the field, with an old ball. Didn’t need a big stadium or fancy names. Just good, old-fashioned fun. But New Zealand rugby is a big deal, I know.

These Fiji fellas, they’re no pushovers either. Heard they’re just as tough as the All Blacks. Gonna be a real fight, I reckon. Like two bulls lockin’ horns. Hope nobody gets hurt too bad. It will be a great game in San Diego.

They say you can stay at some fancy hotel, The Guild Hotel. Three nights, they say. Sounds expensive. Guess some folks like that sort of thing. Me, I’m happy with my little house. Don’t need no fancy hotel. It’s near the stadium in San Diego.

So, if you’re in San Diego on July 19th, and you like New Zealand rugby, you might want to check out this game. Sounds like it’s gonna be a big one. Just don’t expect me to be there. I’ll be at home, watchin’ my chickens. Much more peaceful, I think.

Well, that’s all I know about this New Zealand rugby comin’ to San Diego. Hope you learned somethin’. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go feed those chickens. They’re probably wonderin’ where I am.
