Okay, so today I wanna talk about this crazy idea I had: posing for a “Naked Rugby Man” calendar. Yeah, you heard that right. Getting Ready
- Hit the gym: Obviously, I wanted to look my best, so I upped my workout routine. Lots of cardio, weightlifting, the whole nine yards. I even tried to eat healthier, but let’s be real, I still snuck in some pizza here and there.
- Found a photographer: A friend of a friend is a photographer, and he agreed to do the shoot. We discussed the style we were going for – something natural, outdoorsy, and fun.
- Picked locations: We scouted a few places around town – a park, a rugby field, even an old abandoned warehouse. We wanted a variety of backdrops to keep things interesting.
The Shoot
The day of the shoot finally arrived. It was nerve-wracking, to say the least. Standing there in your birthday suit in front of a bunch of people takes some getting used to. But everyone was super chill and supportive. We cranked up some music, cracked a few jokes, and just went for it.
We started at the park, using the trees and bushes for some “artistic” coverage. Then we moved to the rugby field, where we did some action shots – running with the ball, tackling each other (gently, of course), and just generally goofing around. The warehouse shots were the most intense. The lighting was dramatic, and the vibe was very raw and industrial.
The Result
After a few weeks of editing and layout, the calendar was finally ready! I gotta say, I was pretty impressed with how it turned out. The photos were tasteful, the guys looked great, and it all came together to create a really cool product.
We launched the calendar online and at a few local events. The response was amazing! People loved the concept, and we ended up raising a decent amount of money for Balls to Cancer. Plus, it was a great way to promote body positivity and have a good laugh.
Overall, it was an unforgettable experience. Would I do it again? Maybe. It’s definitely not for everyone, but if you’re feeling adventurous and want to support a good cause, I say go for it! Just be prepared to bare it all (literally).
