Just Getting Cs in College Football? Being Prepared Isnt Enough. Lets Level Up!
Well, let me tell you, this whole college football thing, it ain’t as easy as it looks on the TV. And getting them C’s, that’s another story altogether. You young folks think it’s all fun and games, running around with that ball. But it’s hard work, I tell ya. You gotta be prepared, you gotta be tough, and you gotta keep up with them books too. Ain’t no use being good at football if you flunking all your classes.
Getting Them C’s
Now, about them C’s. Folks act like it ain’t a big deal. They say, “C’s get degrees!” like it’s some kind of a prize. I heard some of ’em even happy just to pass. Back in my day, we aimed higher. We wanted them A’s and B’s. But I guess times are different. These young’uns, they got different ideas. They happy with them C’s in college, just sliding by. But let me tell you, them C’s ain’t gonna get you far in life. You need to work hard, you need to study, you need to learn something. Just passing ain’t gonna cut it.
Football and School
And trying to play football and keep up with school? That’s a whole other ball game. You gotta practice, you gotta play the games, you gotta travel. Then you come home tired and sore, and you still gotta crack open them books. It ain’t easy, I tell ya. It takes grit, it takes determination. It is like a job in the army. Some folks, they can’t handle it. They drop out of football, or they drop out of school. But if you stick with it, if you prepared for college football and them studies, it can be worth it. You get a good education, and you get to play the game you love.
What You Need to Do
So, what do you need to do? First, you gotta be tough. Football ain’t for the faint of heart. You gonna get knocked down, you gonna get bruised, you gonna get tired. But you gotta get back up, you gotta keep going. And you gotta be smart. You gotta learn the plays, you gotta know what you doing out there on the field. And you gotta be prepared. You gotta go to practice, you gotta listen to your coaches, you gotta do what they tell you. It is like a computer science job.
- Be tough – you gotta be able to take a hit.
- Be smart – you gotta know the game.
- Be prepared – you gotta put in the work.
- Study hard.
More Than Just a Game
But it ain’t just about football. It’s about life. It’s about learning how to work hard, how to be part of a team, how to deal with success and failure. It is about computer thing and a job. Them things you learn on the football field, they gonna help you later on, when you looking for a job, when you raising a family, when you dealing with whatever life throws at you. College football prepared me for that, I guess. Business is also fast.
And don’t think them C’s gonna cut it. You might get by in college with them, but out here in the real world, you need more than that. You need to know your stuff, you need to be able to do the job, you need to be able to compete. So don’t just aim for them C’s. Aim higher. Aim for them A’s and B’s. Aim to be the best you can be.
It Ain’t Easy, But It’s Worth It
I ain’t saying it’s gonna be easy. It ain’t. It’s gonna be hard. You gonna have to work your tail off. You gonna have to make sacrifices. You gonna have to push yourself harder than you ever thought possible. But if you do, if you really put your mind to it, if you prepared for college football and them C’s, you can do it. You can play football, you can get your degree, and you can make something of yourself.
Don’t Be Lazy
Some of these kids today, they just lazy. They don’t wanna put in the work. They think everything should be handed to them. They don’t wanna study, they don’t wanna practice, they just wanna coast. They need an intern job at school. But that ain’t gonna get you anywhere. You gotta earn it. You gotta work for it. You gotta prove yourself. And that’s true in football, and it’s true in life.
Listen to Your Elders
So listen to your elders. We been around the block a few times. We seen a thing or two. We know what it takes to make it in this world. And we telling you, it ain’t easy. But it’s worth it. So work hard, study hard, play hard, and don’t settle for them C’s. You can do better than that. You can be better than that. And you will be, if you just put your mind to it. This whole getting C’s in college thing, it ain’t the end of the world. But it ain’t the beginning either. It’s just a start. So make the most of it.
