Okay, so, I’ve been wanting to do something about my golf cart seats for a while now. They were getting pretty worn out, and honestly, they weren’t that comfortable to begin with. So I started looking around to see what my options were.
First, I checked out some online stores. I saw a bunch of different styles and materials. Some were pretty basic, just plain vinyl, but others were fancier, with stitching and different colors. I even saw some that claimed to be “luxury” seats. But I wasn’t sure about buying online without actually seeing them in person.
Then, I decided to visit a few local golf cart dealers. This was a good move because I got to actually sit in the seats and feel the material. I noticed that some of the cheaper ones felt, well, cheap. The vinyl felt thin, and the padding wasn’t very thick.
- Tried out a couple of seats at the dealers.
- Compared the feel and quality.
- Started leaning towards the higher-end ones.
I talked to one of the guys at the shop, and he mentioned something about a brand called UCU. Apparently, they’re known for making really good quality seats. He showed me one of their “Suite Seats,” and man, it was nice! It felt really comfortable, and the material seemed durable, like marine-grade vinyl or something. They were a bit pricey, but I was starting to think it might be worth it.
I also learned that you can actually reupholster your existing seats. I watched a video or two about it. It involved taking off the old fabric and putting on new fabric, which seemed doable. That way, you don’t have to buy completely new seats.
After thinking about it some more, I finally decided to go for the Suite Seats. Yeah, they were more expensive, but I figured I spend a decent amount of time on my golf cart, so why not be comfortable? Plus, they looked way better than my old seats.
Waiting for them to arrive was a bit of a pain, but once they got here, I put them on the cart right away. It wasn’t too hard to install them, just a few bolts. And let me tell you, it made a huge difference! They’re so much more comfortable than the old ones, and they look great too.
Totally worth the upgrade!
So, yeah, that’s my story about upgrading my golf cart seats. It took a little bit of research and some trial and error, but I’m really happy with how it turned out. It’s like having a whole new cart!
