Okay, so the other day I was digging around for some cool stuff to add to my collection, and I stumbled upon this Godzilla 50th Anniversary Soundtrack Perfect Collection Box 3 thing. I mean, who doesn’t love Godzilla, right? And the music from those movies is just epic. I’m a big fan of the old Showa Series, so I was pretty stoked to see that this box set covers the soundtracks from that era.
So, I went ahead and ordered it. I didn’t really know what to expect, but it seemed like a good deal with six discs of music. When the box arrived, I was like a kid on Christmas morning. Ripped that thing open and started going through it.
First off, the packaging is pretty sweet. It’s got that classic Godzilla vibe, you know? Then, I started popping the discs into my player. The sound quality is amazing. They remastered all the tracks, and you can really hear the difference. It’s like being right there in the theater, but way better audio.
- Disc 1: This one has the soundtrack from the first Godzilla movie. I mean, come on, it’s a classic. Akira Ifukube’s score is just legendary.
- Disc 2: I don’t quite remember the detail, but it’s another Godzilla series soundtrack.
- Disc 3: Same, it’s from another one Godzilla series, I think it’s from the later one.
- Disc 4: It’s music composed by Masaru Satoh.
- Disc 5: It’s music composed by Riichiro Manabe.
- Disc 6: I am not quite sure, but it seems a collection of all the sound effect from all the series, and some vocal songs. I might need to listen to it again.
I’ve been listening to these soundtracks non-stop. It’s not just the main themes, either. They’ve got all this extra stuff on there, like promotional songs and sound effects that I’ve never heard before. It’s like discovering hidden treasures, you know?
I spent a whole afternoon just geeking out, listening to the music and flipping through the booklet that came with the set. It’s got all sorts of cool info about the movies and the composers. Did you know that Akira Ifukube composed the music to Godzilla while simultaneously working on the musical score for a different movie? It’s all very fascinating!
Honestly, this box set is a must-have for any Godzilla fan. Or even if you’re just into classic movie soundtracks, you gotta check this out. It’s a piece of history, and the music is just so good. I’m so glad I decided to pick this one up. It’s definitely one of the coolest things in my collection now. Now I gotta track down Box 1 and 2 to complete the set!
