I spent the whole day messing around with golf news, and let me tell you, it was a wild ride. First off, I wanted to see what was new with that “EA SPORTS PGA TOUR” thing – supposed to drop on April 7, 2023. So, I started digging around to see if there was any buzz.
- I spent a good chunk of time looking into this.
Then, because I’m always looking to up my own game, I went down a rabbit hole of checking out new golf equipment. I figured if I’m gonna write about golf news, I better know what gear people are talking about, right?
- Found some interesting stuff about some new Cobra DS-ADAPT range with “FUTUREFIT33” technology, whatever that is. It was written by someone called Sarah Pyett on Thursday 12 December 2024. I guess people are really into it.
Diving into Evolve
But the real meat of my day was spent on this “Evolve” game. I’d heard some chatter online and wanted to check it out firsthand.
- Downloaded this massive 40 GB “EvolveGame” folder using some magnet link. I am not very familiar with this.
- Figured out how to mess with the Beta settings in my Steam library by right-clicking on “Evolve” and going into Properties.
Once I got in, my first goal was to, well, evolve as fast as possible. I was playing as the Kraken, and from what I gathered, the smart play is to grab a buff and then evolve within the first 90 seconds.
- I used something called Vortex to kill multiple wildlife at once. That seemed to work pretty well.
But, honestly, finding a game was tough. I guess it depends on where you are and when you play. I was struggling to find a game so I wasn’t able to play for a long time.
- Learned that the PGA Tour supposedly cut down its full-time membership by 20%. I guess that’s a big deal in the golf world.
And I also stumbled upon this thing called “Evolvr.” Apparently, it’s some kind of tool where you record your golf swing and it gives you feedback. Could be useful, I guess. I signed up and recorded my swing many times. I will keep using it.
Anyway, that was my day. A whole lot of exploring, a bit of playing, and a ton of information. It’s messy, but hey, that’s how real life is, right? I hope I can get better at “Evolve.” If you guys have any tips for me please let me know.
