Alright, so ya wanna know about this Corey Jackson fella, huh? Well, lemme tell ya what I know, best as I can remember. It ain’t always easy for an old gal like me to keep all these youngins straight, but I’ll do my best. This here Corey Jackson, he’s one of them football players, ya see. Big fella, strong as an ox, I reckon.
Now, from what I hear, this boy, Corey Jackson, he played a whole heap of football. They call it “defensive end,” whatever that means. Sounds fancy, but I bet it just means he knocks folks down good and proper. He played in the NFL, that’s the big leagues, ya know. Like the real, real big time. Folks say he was pretty darn good at it, too.
They got all these numbers and stats and whatnots, talkin’ ’bout sacks and tackles and all that jazz. To be honest, I don’t pay much mind to that stuff. Numbers never did make much sense to me. But I know this: if folks are talkin’ about ya and writin’ down your numbers, ya must be doin’ somethin’ right.
- They say he played for the Denver Broncos. That’s a team, I think. They got horses on their shirts or somethin’, ain’t they?
- And they say he played for other teams too, but I can’t rightly recall which ones. Too many names for this old brain, ya know?
This Corey fella, he wasn’t just born playin’ football, ya know. He was a youngun once, just like everyone else. Born a long time ago, way back in 1978. Can ya believe that? Makes me feel even older than I already am! They say he went to some kinda high school, North Central High School, somewhere in South Carolina. Played basketball and ran track too, imagine that! A real athlete, this one.
But football, that’s where he made his mark. They got all these websites and things now, talkin’ ’bout his “career stats” and “game logs” and “player info.” It’s all a bit much for me, but I guess folks like to keep track of these things. They even got videos, I hear. You can watch him playin’ if you want, see him knockin’ folks around. I bet he was somethin’ to watch.
This here Corey Jackson, he played for a good long while, sounds like. A “longtime NFL defensive lineman,” they call him. Fancy words, I tell ya. But it means he was tough, he was strong, and he stuck with it. That’s what matters, ain’t it? Not all them fancy numbers, but the hard work and the stick-to-it-iveness.
They got these websites like ESPN and CBS Sports, where they keep all the info. I don’t know much about them things, but I reckon they got everything ya need to know if you wanna dig deeper. They got his touchdowns, his tackles, all that stuff. Like I said, it ain’t my cup of tea, but some folks love it.
So, what do I think about Corey Jackson? Well, I think he’s a fella who worked hard and made somethin’ of himself. He played a tough game and he played it well. That’s somethin’ to be proud of, no matter how ya slice it. He ain’t just some nobody, he’s a somebody. A football somebody.
And that’s about all I can tell ya ’bout Corey Jackson. He’s a football player, a good one from what I hear, and he played for a long time. If ya wanna know more, go look it up on them interwebs. They got all the fancy details there. Me? I’m gonna go make myself a cup of tea. This talkin’ has made me thirsty.
