Hey everyone, I’ve got something cool to show you today. It’s this box of chalk I picked up – the General’s Multi-Pastel Chalk Box of 12. I saw it at the store, and I thought, “Why not give it a try?” So here’s how it went down.
First off, I opened the box. Inside, there were 12 sticks of chalk, all different colors. They looked pretty neat, all lined up in there. This box is not big, I measured it, about 5.5x10x1.5 inches, so I can take it anywhere.
- Getting Started: I grabbed a piece of paper to test them out. I picked the blue one first.
- Trying It Out: I started drawing, just some simple shapes. The chalk felt smooth, not scratchy at all.
- Color Test: I tried all the colors, one by one. Each one was bright and showed up really well on the paper.
- Blending: I got a little adventurous and tried blending some colors. I drew a circle with the yellow, then added some red on top. They mixed pretty well.
- Different Paper: Then, I took out a black piece of paper. I wanted to see how the chalk would look on a dark background.
- Dark Paper Test: The colors popped even more on the black paper. The white chalk was especially cool, it looked like a light.
- Cleaning Up: After I was done, I noticed my hands were a bit dusty. So, I washed them, and it all came off easily. The color looks rich in pigment but the introduction says “dry chalk formula” on the box, sounds good.
- Storing: I put the chalk sticks back in their box. They fit in perfectly, like they were made for it.
Final Thoughts
So, that’s my little adventure with the General’s Multi-Pastel Chalk Box. It was fun to play around with, and I think anyone who likes to draw or doodle would enjoy it. I saw it was around 18 bucks on some website, but you might find it cheaper. Anyway, it’s a nice little set, and I’m glad I tried it out. Maybe I’ll make some more drawings with it later.
