Football kicking tee: how to choose the right one? Find the perfect tee for your game!
Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with this football kicking tee thing lately, and I gotta say, it’s been a bit of a journey. I’m no pro or anything, just a regular guy who likes to kick a football around in the park sometimes. At first, I figured, “How hard can it be? Just put the ball on the tee and kick it, right?” Wrong.
I started out by just plopping the tee down and sticking the football on top. No real plan, just winging it. Surprise, surprise, the ball went all over the place. Sometimes it went far, sometimes it barely went anywhere. A few times, it went sideways. Not exactly what I was going for.
Then, I decided I should probably figure out what I’m doing. I watched a bunch of videos of people using kicking tees, and they made it look so easy. They were all like, “Find the height you like,” and “Set up the tee just right.” Easy for them to say! They’re probably all ex-college players or something.
- I tried messing with the height of the tee. This one is adjustable, which is kinda cool. I raised it up, lowered it down, the whole nine yards.
- I also experimented with the angle of the ball. Pointed it straight, tilted it a bit. You name it, I tried it.
After a lot of trial and error, and I mean A LOT, I think I’m starting to get the hang of it. It’s not perfect, but my kicks are definitely more consistent now. They’re going straighter and farther, which is a win in my book. It’s funny how something that seems so simple can actually be kinda tricky.
Here’s what I’ve learned so far:
- Finding the right tee height is important. Too high and you might kick under the ball, too low and you might top it.
- The angle of the ball matters too. You gotta find that sweet spot where you can get a good, clean kick.
- Practice makes perfect. Or at least, it makes you better.
I’m still working on it, but it’s been a fun little project. I’m no expert, but I feel like I’ve learned a thing or two about using a football kicking tee. Maybe one day I’ll be able to kick like those guys in the videos. Or maybe not. Either way, it’s all good. I’m just enjoying the process, one kick at a time. It’s way more satisfying to figure this stuff out on my own, you know?
