Okay, so, I gotta tell you about this whole Bloomfield Tennis Club thing. It all started when I was looking for a new hobby, something to get me moving and maybe meet some new people. A friend mentioned tennis, and I thought, “Why not?” I’m not getting any younger, and sitting around wasn’t doing me any good.
So, I started searching online for tennis clubs around here. I mean, who uses the phone book anymore? Found a bunch, but this one, the Bloomfield Tennis Club, caught my eye. It was relatively close, seemed to have a good vibe, and the website mentioned something about indoor and outdoor courts, which sounded pretty sweet.
First thing I did was give them a call. I mean, I needed to know how this whole membership thing worked. The guy on the phone, real friendly, told me all about it. Different membership options, court rates, all that jazz. They even had programs for adults, which was perfect because, let’s be honest, I’m no spring chicken on the court.
Next, I decided to go check the place out. Drove over there, and I gotta say, it was pretty nice. They had these indoor courts, five of them, which is great for when the weather decides not to cooperate. And then there were six red clay outdoor courts – looked fancy, not gonna lie. Oh, and they had pickleball courts too! I heard it is a new trend! Six of them, four inside that were available during mid day!
I walked around, saw the swimming pool, a couple of firepits (imagine having a little get-together there after a game), and checked out the locker rooms – clean and spacious, which is always a plus. Everyone seemed to be having a good time, some folks were playing, others were just chilling. It had a real community feel to it.
I signed up for one of their adult classes. Figured it would be a good way to ease back into the game and meet some people. The classes were fun, not too intense, and the instructor was really helpful. We did some drills, practiced our swings, and even played a few games.
- Membership: They got options, so that’s good. You can find something that fits your needs.
- Courts: Indoor, outdoor, tennis, pickleball – they got it all.
- Classes: For adults and juniors, so it’s a family-friendly place.
- Vibe: It’s chill, friendly, and everyone’s there to have a good time.
So yeah, that’s my Bloomfield Tennis Club story. It’s been a good experience so far. I’m getting some exercise, meeting new people, and having fun. If you’re in the area and looking for a new hobby or just a place to play some tennis, I’d say give it a shot. You might just like it.
I also found that they have an app! Through which we can reserve courts and do enrollments, etc. That is super convenient for a busy person like me.
They also have USTA teams and tournaments and stuff, but I am just a beginner so that is for later.
All in all, I think I made a good decision by joining this club. Hope this gives you an idea of what it’s like to get into tennis and find a place like the Bloomfield Tennis Club. Trust me, if I can do it, you can too!
In conclusion
This club is pretty good! I had a good time here. 10 out of 10! It is located in somewhere called Bloomfield in CT. If I recall correctly, I think the address was 45 Douglas St. You can try contact them and ask more details about it. I think their phone number was 860-242-5536 or something. Anyway, that was it. Hope my sharing helped you!
