Enroll Now: Basketball Grosse Pointe Kids Camp, Learn, Play and Have Fun
Today, I want to share my experience with the Basketball Grosse Pointe Kids Camp. I decided to sign up my two kids for this, and I must say, it was quite the adventure. So, let’s dive right in!
Getting Started
First off, I had to figure out when and where this camp was happening. It turns out it’s held at Grosse Pointe Academy, located at 171 Lake Shore Dr., Grosse Pointe Farms. That’s a nice spot, easy to get to. The camp is for boys and girls in the 2nd through 8th grade. My kids, being in 3rd and 5th grade, fit right in.
Signing Up
Registration was the next big thing. I learned that you need to register for a minimum of three weeks throughout the summer. There was an offer that was only available until June 10, so I made sure to act fast. The main registration for the 2024/2025 school year opens on July 1, 2024. It’s first-come, first-served, and space is limited, so I set a reminder to register as soon as it opened.
What to Expect
From what I gathered, the camp focuses on improving the basic basketball skills. Things like dribbling, passing, and shooting. It sounded perfect for my kids, who are just starting to get serious about basketball. They also have these skill-building drills and games, which sounded fun and engaging.
The Camp Experience
- Arrival: The first day was a bit chaotic, with so many kids and parents around. But the coaches did a great job organizing everyone. We got the kids checked in, and they were split into groups based on their grade and skill level.

The Grosse Pointe Kids Basketball Camp seems like a great way to improve basketball skills and have fun at the same time. My kids came home tired but happy each day. They made some new friends and learned a lot about the game. The coaches were great, and the environment was safe and inclusive.
