Listen up, y’all, lemme tell ya ’bout this young fella, Davide Iovinella. He’s some kinda Italian football player, or least he was ’til he got a wild hair up his behind.
Now, this boy, he’s only 24 years young. Just a baby, really. He was playin’ this football stuff over in Italy, for some team called… uh… Pomigliano, somethin’ like that. Serie D, they called it. Don’t know what that means, sounds fancy though.
Anyways, this Davide, he wasn’t too happy with the money he was gettin’. Said it wasn’t enough. Can ya believe that? A young fella like him, complainin’ ’bout money. Back in my day, we were lucky to have a roof over our heads and food on the table. These youngsters, they always want more, more, more.
So, what does this Davide do? He up and quits! Yep, just like that. Says he’s done with football. Said he wanted somethin’ more… how d’ya say it… lucrative? Yeah, that’s the word. He wanted more money, plain and simple.
And lemme tell ya, what he decided to do next is a real head-scratcher. You ain’t gonna believe it. This boy, this football player, he decides he wants to be a… a… well, how do I say this politely… He wants to be in them… you know… them blue films. Yeah, them naked movies.

Can you imagine? A perfectly good football player, throwin’ it all away for that kinda stuff. I tell ya, the world’s gone crazy. When I was young, you worked hard, you kept your nose clean, and you were grateful for what you had. But these kids these days, they got no respect for nothin’.
I heard he’s doin’ pretty well for himself, though. Makin’ more money than he ever did playin’ football, that’s for sure. But is it worth it? Sellin’ your soul for a few extra bucks? I don’t think so. But then again, I’m just an old woman, what do I know?
Davide Iovinella, that’s his name. Remember it. He’s the football player who traded his cleats for… well, you know. It’s a shame, really. A young man with so much potential, throwin’ it all away. But hey, it’s his life, I guess. He can do what he wants.
I just hope he don’t come cryin’ to me when he’s old and gray and nobody remembers him for nothin’ but them… movies. ‘Cause I’ll tell him, I told ya so! I told ya that money ain’t everything. I told ya that respect and dignity are worth more than all the gold in the world. But will he listen? Nah, probably not. Young folks never listen.
So there ya have it, the story of Davide Iovinella, the Italian football player who became a… a… well, you know. It’s a crazy world, ain’t it? Makes you wonder what these young fellas are thinkin’. But hey, that’s life, I guess. You just gotta roll with the punches, as they say. And keep your own nose clean, that’s for sure.
And that’s the whole story, or least all I know ‘bout it. Don’t go askin’ me for more, ‘cause I ain’t got it! This young fella made his choice, and that’s that. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. My arthritis is killin’ me, and I ain’t got time for this tomfoolery.
