Custom lorry boxes: Heres how to design the perfect one for your needs!

Today, I wanted to share a little project I’ve been messing around with – lorry boxes. It all started when I noticed a bunch of cardboard boxes piling up in my garage. I hate throwing things away that could be useful, so I figured, why not turn them into something practical?

First, I gathered all the boxes I could find. Big ones, small ones, you name it. Then, I spent an afternoon just sorting them by size and sturdiness. I wanted to make sure the boxes I used were strong enough to hold stuff without falling apart.

Custom lorry boxes: Heres how to design the perfect one for your needs!

Brainstorming and Design

  • Brainstormed some ideas of what I could store in these boxes. Tools, old clothes, seasonal decorations – the list went on.
  • Decided to start with my tools. They were scattered all over the place, and it was a pain to find what I needed.
  • Sketched out a rough design for how I wanted to organize the boxes. Nothing fancy, just a simple layout to keep things tidy.

Cutting and Assembling

Next, I got down to business. I grabbed a box cutter, some heavy-duty tape, and started cutting and resizing some of the boxes. This was probably the most time-consuming part. I had to measure and cut carefully to make sure the boxes would fit together nicely. After cutting, I reinforced the bottoms and corners with extra tape to make them more durable.

Labeling and Organizing

  • Once the boxes were ready, I labeled each one. I just used a thick marker and wrote down what was going inside. Hammers, screwdrivers, nails, you get the idea.
  • Started organizing my tools into their respective boxes. It felt good to finally have everything in its place.
  • Arranged the boxes on some shelves in my garage. It looked so much neater than before!

The Final Touch

I even added a few dividers inside some of the boxes to keep smaller items from getting jumbled up. It was a simple addition, but it made a big difference. Now, everything is easy to find, and my garage looks a whole lot better. Plus, I didn’t have to spend any money on fancy storage solutions. It’s a win-win!

Overall I am satisfied with my achievement. It was a fun little project, and it turned out pretty well if I do say so myself.
