Well, let me tell you about this 2024 leaf ba-hb1 football thing. Sounds fancy, don’t it? But it ain’t rocket science, you know. It’s just football, like them boys play down at the field. But this here is about them cards, you know, the ones with the pictures of the players. These 2024 ones, they’re the new thing, all shiny and such.
They say this 2024 Leaf is gonna be the best. Some people like to collect them, keep ’em all nice and neat. I seen folks do that. They get all excited about these football cards. This set here has 60 cards. They get all the details, all the different players. They got numbers and everything. Some folks like to trade ’em, like we used to do with them marbles back in the day.
And they sell these things in boxes. They call them “Hobby Box”. Don’t ask me why. You get like 5 of them special cards in there, the ones with the squiggly lines, them’s the autographs. And then 2 regular ones, just the picture of the player, them’s the base. That’s what they tell me, anyway. Some folks, they pay good money for these boxes. They are looking for those special cards I guess. I don’t know, seems like a lot of fuss to me.
I heard some folks talkin’, sayin’ they’re gonna get these 2024 leaf ba-hb1 football cards as soon as they come out. They got this thing called a “Blaster” box. Ten cards in there, and one of them autograph ones. They say it’s comin’ out this Friday. That’s the football leaf cards for this year. So, folks into that will probably be excited. I don’t really know about that but some people are really into it. The ones who like to collect them that is.
These young’uns and their cards. Back in my day, we didn’t have none of that. We played outside, made our own fun. But I guess times change. Now they got these fancy cards, these 2024 leaf football cards. They get all excited about which ones got which player. It’s the same with soccer too. They got those cards too, 2024 Leaf Soccer Cards they call them. Same idea, different sport.
Now, I ain’t one to judge. If it makes ’em happy, that’s all that matters. They say these cards, especially them autographed ones, they can be worth some money someday. Like them old coins folks collect. Maybe they’re right. This 2024 stuff, they say it’s special. They always say that about the new stuff, don’t they?

Things ain’t that different when you think about it. Just different toys for different times.
I heard some folks say that these cards are like a little piece of history. I guess that’s one way to look at it. You got these players, and they do good, and their cards become more popular. I don’t know all them players they got there. But the young’uns, they know. They can tell you everything about them.
If you get one of them Hobby Boxes, you get a few of them autograph cards. They say those are the best ones. They got the player’s signature on ’em, you see. That makes ’em special, I guess. They say those are the ones that are worth the most. I don’t know about all that, but that’s what they say. And you get a couple of them regular ones, them base cards. Just the picture, no signature. Still, some folks like to collect them all, even the regular ones.
They got all sorts of numbers and things on these cards. Stats, they call ’em. How many touchdowns and all that. I don’t understand all of it, but the folks who collect these cards, they know all about it. They can tell you everything about each player, just by lookin’ at their card. It’s like they got a whole library of football stuff in their heads, just from these cards.
They are probably looking forward to this 2024 Leaf ba-hb1 football coming out. I guess if you like to collect those things, this is a big deal. They are making a big fuss over it, that’s for sure. The young folks and their toys. It’s always something new with them.
They have checklists, too. Lists of all the cards in the set. So folks can keep track of which ones they got and which ones they need. It’s a whole system, they got. Organized, you could say. I guess that’s good, keeps ’em busy. Keeps them out of trouble, maybe. Although, I think they’d be better off playing outside, like we used to. But that’s just me.
