- Then there’s them 76ers. Don’t know much about them, but they’re playin’ against the Celtics, so they must be somethin’. Maybe like that stubborn mule we had last year, always puttin’ up a fight.
Now, these bookie fellas, they got their odds and such. BetMGM Sportsbook, they call it. Sounds like a whole lotta mumbo jumbo to me, but they say the Celtics are favored. Celtics are favored, ya got that? Means they think the Celtics are gonna win.

But then, there was another game, on February 27th, 2024, they said. Celtics and 76ers again. Guess they play each other a lot. And this time, the Celtics were 8.5-point favorites against some other team, the Heat. And another game against the Knicks, Celtics were 6-point favorites. Seems like these Celtics are always the favorites, huh? Like that rooster, always strutting around like he owns the place.
So, what’s my prediction? Well, I ain’t no fortune teller, but from what I hear, these Celtics are pretty darn good. They’re like that old tractor we got, reliable and gets the job done. The 76ers, well, they might put up a fight, like that mule, but in the end, I reckon the Celtics gonna win. That’s my two cents, anyway. You can take it or leave it. Just don’t come cryin’ to me if you bet your whole farm on it and lose!
Now, they also talk about somethin’ called over/under, and it was 218 for that Heat game. And -360 on the money line, gotta risk $360 to win $100. That’s just crazy talk to me. Sounds like a good way to lose all your hard-earned money. Stick to bettin’ on the weather, I say, at least you got a 50/50 chance of gettin’ it right!
So there you have it. Celtics versus 76ers. My money’s on the Celtics, but then again, what do I know? I’m just an old woman who spends more time with chickens than basketball players.
