Fifty years! That’s a long time, even for an old woman like me. They call it the “Annual Can-Am Rugby” somethin’ or other. Sounds important.
This summer, they had a big one. The biggest one yet, maybe. Folks came from all over, I guess. They had all sorts of players, too. Some were new, some were… what’s the word… on the “fringe,” yeah, that’s it. Meanin’ they were almost good enough but not quite. But they were all there, ready to play.

- Like, super famous.
- People follow them on that… face… book thing, and that other one… Insta… gram.
- Millions of folks watchin’ them, can you believe it? Millions! That’s more people than I ever seen in my whole life.
And there’s this other rugby thing, the “Championship.” That’s comin’ up soon, they say. All the best teams gonna be there. It’s gonna be a real showdown, a real fight. Folks are gettin’ all excited about it already. And then, after that, there’s another big game in December, the Investec Champions Cup, that sounds fancy too.
I heard someone talkin’ ’bout this fella, a coach, and he was watchin’ all these players real close. Tryna figure out who’s the best, who to pick for his team. It’s serious business, this rugby. Not just a bunch of fellas runnin’ around, like I thought at first. There’s strategy and… and… well, I don’t know all the words, but it’s complicated.
So, this Canam Rugby 2024, it sounds like it was a big success. Lots of teams, lots of folks watchin’, lots of excitement. And it ain’t just this one game, it’s a whole big thing, this rugby. It goes on all year round, with different games and championships and all that. It’s enough to make your head spin, I tell ya.

Anyway, that’s what I know about this Canam Rugby 2024. It’s big, it’s popular, and it’s got folks all riled up. And if you ask me, that’s a good thing. Keeps them youngsters busy, ya know? Keeps ‘em outta trouble. And that’s always a good thing in my book.
