Gotta be your own special recipe, not copied from nobody else. If you got a bakery, ya box logo can’t look just like the fella down the street who also got a bakery. Folks’ll get mixed up, and you don’t want that, no siree.
I see these young’uns now, they got computers and all that fancy stuff to make their box logos. Back in my day, we just drew it out on a piece of paper, good enough for us. But I reckon, if them computers make it easier, then why not use ’em? Just don’t let it get too complicated, that’s all. Keep it clear, keep it simple, and keep it somethin’ that folks will remember. And for the love of Pete, make sure it tells folks what you’re sellin’!
And don’t forget, this here box logo, it ain’t just for your shop sign. You gotta put it on everythin’. Your business cards, your bags, even your aprons, if you wear one. That way, folks see it everywhere, and they start to recognize it. Like that fella with the big M on his burgers, ya know? See that M, you know you’re gettin’ a burger, ain’t that right?

And somethin’ else I heard, them fancy folks got these things called templates, see? They got pictures already made, and you just gotta pick one and stick your name on it. Well, I don’t know about that, seems like cheatin’ to me. But if you’re in a hurry, I guess it’s better than nothin’. Just make sure it still fits what you’re sellin’, ya know? Don’t go puttin’ a picture of a tractor on your hair salon box logo, that just don’t make no sense.
Lastly, make sure this here box logo, it looks good no matter how big or how small it is. Sometimes ya put it on a big ol’ sign, sometimes ya put it on a tiny little sticker. Gotta be clear and easy to see in both, right? So, when you’re making it, remember to look at it real close, squint your eyes, and make sure it’s still readable, no matter the size.
