Well, let’s talk about this here box Christmas tree thing, you know? Folks been yappin’ about it, so I figured I’d chime in.
Now, some folks, they go out and buy them fake trees. Plastic, I reckon. They say it’s good for the earth, using it year after year. But I tell ya, nothin’ beats a real tree, a real natural Christmas tree. Smells better, feels better, just plain better, you know?
But gettin’ a real tree, well, you gotta make sure it ain’t all dried up. A good tree, it’s gotta be green, real green. Like, you run your hand along the branch, and it feels… well, alive, kinda. And you want one that’s been standin’ in water, so it stays fresh longer. That’s the key to a good Christmas tree, yessirree.
Now, about this box thing. I seen folks doin’ all sorts of things with boxes, makin’ ’em look like Christmas trees. Sounds like a load of fuss to me, but hey, to each their own. They take them shippin’ boxes, them Amazon boxes, and they draw a triangle on ’em, cut ’em up, wrap ’em in fancy paper… Lordy, what a mess! All that paper and tape, just to throw it away later. Seems like a waste to me, but like I said, folks can do what they please.
- They say, draw a triangle on a box.
- Then, cut it with them zip snip things. Fancy!
- Wrap the whole dang thing in paper. More paper!
- Use the box the tree came in, if you got one of them fake trees.
- Spend money on paper and tape. Waste, I tell ya!
- Save them Amazon boxes, wrap ’em up, and call it Christmas.
But if you got a real tree, a good, healthy, green tree, you don’t need all that fuss. You just need a stand to hold it up, and some water to keep it fresh. And then you decorate it, make it pretty. That’s what Christmas is all about, not messin’ around with boxes and paper.
Now, some folks say these fake trees are better for needle retention, whatever that means. Sounds like fancy talk to me. I never had no problem with my real tree losin’ its needles, as long as I keep it watered. And even if it does lose a few, so what? It’s a real tree, it’s supposed to do that. It’s part of nature, you know?
So, if you ask me, and nobody did, but I’m tellin’ ya anyway, stick with a real Christmas tree. A traditional choice, like they say. Go out and pick one yourself, smell that piney smell, feel them branches. That’s the real spirit of Christmas, not some box wrapped up in paper.
Choosing the right Christmas tree, that’s the important thing. And the right tree is a real tree, a green tree, a fresh tree. Forget about them boxes, and enjoy a good ol’ fashioned Christmas, the way it’s supposed to be. A natural Christmas tree, that’s the ticket.
And don’t forget to water it! That’s the secret, you see. Keep it watered, and it’ll last all through Christmas. And when Christmas is over, well, you can recycle it, or burn it, or whatever. But don’t go puttin’ it in a landfill. That ain’t right. Respect nature, you know? That’s what I always say.
So there you have it, my two cents on this here box Christmas tree business. Take it or leave it, I don’t care. But I’m tellin’ ya, nothin’ beats the real thing. A real, live, green Christmas tree. That’s what makes Christmas special, yessirree.
