Alright, so you wanna know about this Benedict College football, huh? Well, let me tell ya, it’s a bunch of young fellas runnin’ around chasin’ a ball. That’s what it looks like to me, anyway.
Benedict College Tigers, they call ’em. Sounds fierce, don’t it? Like they gonna pounce on ya. But really, they’re just boys, tryin’ their best to win some games. Good for ’em, I say. Keeps ’em outta trouble, maybe.
Now, I ain’t no expert on this “football” stuff. Back in my day, we didn’t have time for such things. Too busy workin’ the fields, ya know? But from what I gather, these boys at Benedict College, they play hard. They run and they jump and they throw that there ball around. And sometimes they win, and sometimes they lose. That’s life, ain’t it?
They got a schedule, these games. Means they know when they gonna be playin’. You can probably find it on the internet, if you know how to work them contraptions. Me? I just hear about it from the grandkids. They always talkin’ ’bout the Tigers and how they did.
- They got a website, too, I hear. Somethin’ about “Benedict College Athletics.” Full of pictures and news and all that jazz. You young folks like that stuff, I reckon.
- And this “Tiger Nation” they talk about? Sounds like a big ol’ family, all cheerin’ for the same team. Good to have somethin’ to root for, I guess.
- They even got somethin’ called “FAFSA.” Sounds important. Somethin’ about money for school, maybe. Help them boys keep playin’ that football, I bet.
See, they play in Columbia, South Carolina. That’s where the college is. A big city, they say. Lots of folks there, probably. And they all come out to watch them boys play, I bet. Yellin’ and screamin’ and havin’ a good time.
Football, football, football… It’s all they talk about these days. But I tell you what, it’s more than just a game to these young fellas. It’s about teamwork, they say. About learnin’ to work together and rely on each other. And maybe that’s a good thing. Teaches ‘em some responsibility, maybe. Keeps ‘em outta trouble, like I said before.
They gotta practice hard, these boys. Runnin’ and liftin’ weights and all that. Gotta be strong to play this football, I reckon. And they gotta study, too. Can’t just be all brawn and no brains. Gotta get that education, that’s what I always say.
So, Benedict College football… It’s a big deal to some folks. And maybe it’s a good thing. Gives them somethin’ to do, somethin’ to cheer for. And who knows, maybe some of them boys will even go on to be famous football players. Stranger things have happened, I tell ya.
But even if they don’t, it’s still good for ‘em. Teaches ‘em discipline and hard work. And that’s somethin’ that’ll stay with ‘em long after they hang up them cleats, or whatever they call them shoes they wear.
Anyways, that’s about all I know about this Benedict College football. Just a bunch of young fellas playin’ a game. But it seems to make a lot of people happy, so I guess it’s alright. Now, where’s my tea?
