Autumn Cook Basketball: Get in Shape Fast with These Simple Workouts!
Okay, so I’ve been meaning to get back in shape, you know? And I figured, why not combine it with my love for basketball? So, here’s how I went about it.
Starting Slow and Building Up
First off, I started with some basic stuff, just bodyweight exercises. I’m talking push-ups, squats, you know, the usual. I really focused on building up some basic muscle and getting my body used to moving again. I also added some weight training to make my muscles bigger and stronger. I don’t like a gym membership, I tried working out at home.
Mixing in Basketball Drills
Then, I started to get more active to prepare myself. I did some running to build up my stamina. Running is okay, but it’s not really my thing, so I decided to mix in some basketball drills, too.
Focusing on Diet
Of course, I knew exercise alone wasn’t going to cut it. I also had to fix my diet. I started eating cleaner, healthier foods. I made sure to get plenty of protein, like eggs, fish, and those beans, legumes, whatever they’re called. I like to cook, so I cooked all this by myself. It’s autumn now, so I bought some seasonal veggies and fruits.
Putting it all Together
So, that’s basically my routine now. I do a mix of bodyweight exercises and weight training a few times a week, throw in some basketball drills, and try my best to stick to a healthy diet. It’s not always easy, especially with work and everything, but I’m trying to make it a priority.
Seeing Results
And you know what? I’m actually starting to see some results. I feel stronger, I have more energy, and I can definitely last longer on the court. It’s still a work in progress, but I’m pretty happy with how things are going. I played basketball with my friends yesterday, and I felt great. I think my cooking is really effective!
