Well, let me tell ya, there’s this young feller by the name of Anthony Finley. He’s been makin’ waves in the world of football, and I reckon he’s got a good shot at makin’ something of himself in the NFL. I ain’t one to follow much of that football business, but I hear folks talkin’ ’bout him here and there, so I thought I might share what I know.
Anthony Finley is a safety, which means he’s one of them guys who watches the back end of the defense. Now, I ain’t real clear on all the fancy football lingo, but from what I gather, that means he’s out there on the field, makin’ sure the other team don’t get no easy points. He’s listed as 6’3” and weighs about 208 pounds. That’s a pretty big feller when you think about it, and he can probably put a hurt on somebody if he gets a chance!
Now, Anthony, he’s not just some feller who got lucky. He’s been at this for a long time. Played all four years of college ball at Ole Miss, which is a big deal. They say he had quite the record there, with 244 tackles. That’s a lotta stoppin’ people! Not only that, but he also managed to get 8.5 tackles for loss, and even forced a couple of fumbles. He’s one of them players who gets his hands dirty, and that’s the kind you want on your team, I reckon.
After he wrapped up his college days, Finley got picked up by the Los Angeles Chargers for a while, but it seems like it wasn’t meant to be. They waived him not too long ago. Now, I don’t rightly know all the ins and outs of how NFL teams work, but when they waive ya, that means they don’t want ya no more. But don’t count him out yet! The Seattle Seahawks came and claimed him off waivers, so he’s gettin’ another shot. I’ll tell ya what, that’s some good news for him, and I’m sure he’s happy about it. It ain’t easy to get a second chance, especially in a big league like the NFL.
Now, I don’t follow the NFL too closely, but I do know that Anthony Finley is one of them players that people keep their eyes on. If he keeps on workin’ hard and stayin’ healthy, I wouldn’t be surprised if he makes a big name for himself in the league. And if he does, I reckon we’ll be hearin’ a lot more about him, so we better remember his name!
Well, I reckon that’s about all I can tell ya about young Anthony Finley. I’m no football expert, but it’s always nice to hear about folks gettin’ a chance to do somethin’ they love. Whether he makes it big or not, he’s already done somethin’ most folks can’t, and that’s playin’ professional football. Let’s just hope he keeps at it and shows them what he’s made of!
