Ey up, you lot! Let’s gab about somethin’ I seen the other day. It’s one of them fancy table tennis tops for pool table things. You know, them green things you put on top of your pool table so you can play ping pong. Never seen nothin’ like it. Back in my day, we just used the kitchen table, but I reckon this here’s a bit fancier. Seems like a good idea, though, two games in one, eh? Saves space, that’s for sure. Our house was always crammed, and this thing, well it just sits right on top of another table.
This here table tennis top for pool table, it’s like a big ol’ board. They say it’s for “indoor” games. Well, duh, where else you gonna put it? Out in the rain? Don’t be daft. But yeah, indoor games, that’s what it’s for. You just plop it on top of your pool table. They say it takes about three minutes. Three minutes! Back in my day, we would be lucky to have anything set up in 3 minutes. We had to clear the whole darn kitchen table first. Dishes, food, sewing stuff… you name it. This thing is easy peasy.
And it’s not just any old board, mind you. It’s got this soft stuff underneath, like a cushion. They call it “premium padding.” Fancy words, eh? I reckon it’s to keep from scratchin’ up your pool table. Makes sense, I suppose. You wouldn’t want to ruin your nice pool table. My old man, he’d have had a fit if we scratched up his table. He was real proud of that thing. Probably spent all his gambling money on it!
They got different kinds of these table tennis tops for pool table, too. I seen one called a “JOOLA.” Sounds like a hula hoop, don’t it? Anyway, this JOOLA one, it’s supposed to be real strong. Probably made outta some good wood, or somethin’. Not like that cheap stuff they make nowadays. Everything’s made cheap these days. But this JOOLA, it’s probably built to last. Good quality materials they use, I think.
And then there’s another one, somethin’ called “VIAVITO.” Sounds like a car or a type of pasta! But you won’t believe what this one does. It is called a “Flipit.” This one, it flips! Imagine that. You can flip it over, like a pancake! Don’t ask me how, I ain’t no engineer. But it flips. And it’s a table tennis top, too. So you can play ping pong on it. And it’s only 6 feet. Not too big, not too small. Just right, like Goldilocks’ porridge.

It’s all a bit much for me, if I’m honest. I’m used to the simple life. But I can see why folks like these things. It’s like havin’ a whole games room in one. You can play pool, then you can play ping pong. All in one place. Back in my day, we were lucky to have a deck of cards. We played rummy and poker, and gin rummy. And, this one time, old man Johnson lost his shirt playing poker! Good times.
This here table tennis top for pool table thingy, it’s good for families, I reckon. Keeps the kids entertained. Better than them starin’ at them little phones all day. Gets ’em movin’, you know? Ping pong’s a good workout, I’ll give you that. You’re runnin’ back and forth, whackin’ that little ball. It’s good exercise. We didn’t have fancy exercise machines. We had work to do.
And it’s not just for kids, neither. Grown-ups can play, too. Have a little competition. A bit of fun. We used to have fun, too, back in the day. We didn’t need fancy gadgets. We had each other. And we had a good time. We didn’t need a table tennis top for pool table to have fun. But, I reckon this is good, too.
So, if you got a pool table, and you’re thinkin’ about gettin’ one of these table tennis tops for pool table, I say go for it. Why not? It’s a good way to have some fun. And it’s better than just sittin’ around doin’ nothin’. That is what my old mother used to say. You’ll get lazy just sitting around, she would always say.
Just make sure you get a good one, though. One that’s gonna last. Don’t get one of them cheap ones. They’ll just fall apart. Spend a little extra, get a good one. Like that JOOLA one, or that VIAVITO one. They seem like good ones. They seem like they are made of sturdy stuff. They look like they can take a good whackin’ from the ping pong paddles. I think I might have seen one of them JOOLA ones at the community hall. They used it for the bingo night. Now that was a good night.
I still can’t get over how easy it is. It just sits on top of your pool table. So easy. You can get it in a few minutes! Then you can play table tennis, or ping pong, as we called it. Back in my day, we would have to get all the chairs out of the way, and then we would have to fight about whose turn it was. This table tennis top is definitely better than that.
So, yeah, that’s my two cents on these table tennis tops for pool table. They’re alright, I suppose. They’re better than nothin’. They are good for a game of ping pong. And, they are fun for all the family. What more can you ask for?
