So, I’ve been meaning to get back into football, you know, the good old soccer kind. I finally decided to just go for it and get involved with this thing called “LCA Football”. Here’s how it all went down.
First off, I did some digging around to figure out what I needed to do. I mean, you can’t just show up, right? I found out that the best way to start is to get in touch with the right people. So, I started reaching out to team managers, coaches, and even the league coordinators. Just sent out some emails, made a few calls, asking about tryouts and how to register. Basically, just trying to get my foot in the door.
Then came the waiting game. While I was waiting to hear back, I figured I should probably start practicing. I joined some local clubs, even tried out for a few school teams. Nothing fancy, just wanted to get back into the groove and work with some coaches who actually knew what they were doing. The idea was to get some experience at different levels, you know? Like, not just playing with my buddies in the park.
After a while, I finally got some responses. Some were a no-go, but a few seemed promising. This one team, part of the LCA, seemed pretty legit. I got invited to their tryouts, which was both exciting and terrifying. But hey, I signed up using my email, added all my player details, and hoped for the best. Their system was pretty slick, it showed me which teams I might be a good fit for, which was kind of cool.
Tryout day arrived, and man, was I nervous. Joining a new sports team is always a bit nerve-wracking, right? You don’t know anyone, you’re not sure if you’re good enough… But I just kept telling myself that I’m here, I’ve worked hard, and I deserve a shot. I tried my best, showed them what I could do on the pitch, and just hoped that they saw something in me.

They told me they would let me know in few days. Waiting was the hardest part for sure. A few days later, I got the call and was told I made it! I couldn’t believe it! They saw something in me. They told me that I was in the 2024 roster.
So, yeah, that’s my story about getting into LCA Football. It wasn’t easy, but it was definitely worth it. I’m super stoked to be part of the team, and I can’t wait to see what the 2024 season brings. I’m ready to give it my all and hopefully make some good memories on the field.
