I heard people say them young folks talk about bougie golf bags these days. What’s that, you ask? Well, let me tell you, it ain’t nothin’ like the old sacks we used to carry our stuff in. Them bags, they’re fancy, real fancy.
Fancy Golf Bags
Them bougie golf bags, they cost a pretty penny. More than what I made in a month, I tell ya. They are all shiny and new, made of stuff I ain’t never even heard of. Crocodile skin and some kinda special leather. They got all sorts of pockets, more pockets than I got in my whole house. I reckon you could fit a whole picnic in there, not just them golf clubs.

Carryin’ Them Clubs
Now, back in my day, we just had a simple bag, made of canvas or somethin’. We carried our own clubs, uphill both ways, mind you. These new bags, some of ’em got wheels! Wheels, I say! Like a little cart. And some, they got these legs that pop out, so you don’t even have to bend over to set it down. Lazy, I call it. But I guess if you got the money, why not, right? These young folks, they like their comfort, I suppose.
I seen one of them bougie golf bags, it was blue, bright blue, like the sky on a summer day. Made of crocodile skin, they said. Now, I ain’t never seen a blue crocodile, but I guess they exist somewhere. Must be a sight to see. They say it’s all about style these days. Back in my time, we just wanted somethin’ that worked, somethin’ that would hold our clubs and not fall apart on the course. But these new bags, they’re like a fashion statement.
Pockets, Pockets, Everywhere
And the pockets! So many pockets. One for your balls, one for your tees, one for your gloves, one for your snacks. I even saw one with a special pocket for your phone. A phone! Can you believe it? We didn’t have phones when I was young. We just had to yell real loud if we needed somethin’. Simpler times, I suppose. But these bougie golf bags, they got a pocket for everything you could ever need, and then some. I saw a lady, she put her little dog in one of them pockets. Can you believe that?
Leather and Such
They say these fancy bags, the leather ones, they last forever. They say it gets better with age, like a fine wine. I don’t know about that. My old bag, it lasted a good long while, and it didn’t cost me an arm and a leg. But I guess if you want somethin’ that looks good, and you got the money to spend, then these bougie golf bags are the way to go. They say it’s tough, this leather. Good in all weather. Rain or shine, your clubs will be safe and sound.
There’s a company, I think they call it STITCH, makes these fancy bags. They say they use a lot of leather, special kind, from a place called North Carolina. They say their bags are unique, one of a kind. Like a snowflake, I suppose, but a lot more expensive. They put a lot of work into ’em, I reckon. They are soft. They look good. I think they are too good for old me. Those young people, they all want them bougie golf bags.
Too Much For Me
I guess these bougie golf bags are alright if you’re into that sort of thing. Me, I’m happy with my old bag. It’s got character, you know? It’s seen some things. But these new bags, they’re somethin’ else. They’re like the Cadillacs of golf bags. They just have too many pockets for me. I can’t keep track with all of them.
They got all the bells and whistles. But at the end of the day, it’s just a bag to carry your clubs. Ain’t that right? I think I will just use my old bag. It still works. Why I need a new one. I don’t want to show off. I just want to play some golf.
