Alright, listen up, y’all. We gonna talk about this here football game, the one with K State and Utah on November 2nd. Don’t know much about fancy sports talk, but I can tell ya what I saw, or least what I heard from them folks on the radio. It was a real nail-biter, that’s for sure.
So, first off, K State, them Wildcats, they been havin’ a bit of a rough time, you know? Heard tell they wasn’t doin’ so hot in football and basketball neither. Folks was startin’ to wonder if they’d ever get their act together. But hey, they showed some fight in this game, I tell ya. They really did.
Now, this Utah team, the Utes, they ain’t no slouches neither. They play in that Big 12 conference, big and tough, just like them boys from K State. It’s always a big deal when these two teams get together. Everyone in town gets all riled up about it.
The game, well, it was back and forth, like a seesaw. One minute K State’s up, then Utah’s comin’ right back. It was enough to make your head spin. I heard someone say the score was somethin’ like 24-19, with Houston Cougars beatin’ K State. Don’t rightly know who them Cougars are, but they must be pretty good to beat K State. That’s what I heard on the radio, anyhow.
That Will Howard fella, he’s the quarterback for K State, I think. Heard he threw the ball real good, over 200 yards, they said. And that Deuce Vaughn, he’s a runner, fast as a jackrabbit, I bet. He ran for a whole bunch of yards too, over 100, they said. Sounded like them boys was givin’ it their all.
- K State had some good plays, real barnburners.
- But Utah, they was tough, real tough. They didn’t give up easy.
- The game went down to the wire, right to the very end.
Now, I ain’t sure what happened exactly, ’cause the radio was cracklin’ and I missed some parts. But it sounded like K State was fightin’ hard to defend their Big 12 title. They won that Pop-Tarts Bowl last year, you know, against North Carolina State. Big deal, that was. Folks around here were real proud.
But this year, things is different. They already lost a few games, and folks were gettin’ worried. Heard tell they even had a bye week, which means they didn’t play no game, just to rest up and practice, I guess. But even with the rest, they still had a tough time against Utah.
It seems like every game is a battle for these boys. They gotta fight tooth and nail for every yard, every point. It ain’t easy, I tell ya. And them coaches, they workin’ hard too, tryin’ to figure out how to win. This Coach Klieman, he seems like a good fella, always tryin’ to get the best outta them boys.
And speaking of other games, I heard tell K State’s gonna play against Kansas here soon, in Lawrence. That’s a big rivalry game, everyone gets all worked up about that one too. That’ll be another tough one, I reckon.
So, lookin’ back at this K State Utah game, it sounds like it was a real humdinger. K State played hard, but Utah was just a little bit better that day. That’s how it goes sometimes, you know? Can’t win ‘em all. But them Wildcats, they ain’t gonna give up. They gonna keep fightin’, keep clawin’, and try to win the rest of their games. That’s the spirit, I tell ya. That’s what makes football so excitin’. Win or lose, you gotta give it your all.
Now, I’m no expert, but that’s how I see it. Just a plain ol’ game, with two teams fightin’ hard. And that’s all there is to it, really.
