Alright, so you wanna know about this Bitsy Grant tennis place in Atlanta, huh? Well, lemme tell ya what I know. It ain’t no fancy-schmancy country club, that’s for sure. It’s a tennis place, plain and simple.
Where is this Bitsy Grant thing anyway?
Okay, so this Bitsy Grant, they tell me it’s in some place called South Buckhead. Sounds fancy, but it’s still Atlanta, you know? City folks and all that. It ain’t like out here in the country, where you got dirt roads and space to breathe. But I hear it’s a nice enough spot, if you like tennis and all that running around.
What kind of courts they got?
Now, from what I hear, they got plenty of courts. They say twelve clay courts, and ten hard courts. That’s a whole lotta courts, if you ask me. Enough for everyone and their grandma to play, I reckon. So, if you wanna play on the clay, you can. If you like the hard stuff, they got that too. Seems like they got it all figured out, these city folk.

And get this, they even got some of them pickleball courts too. Three of ‘em, they say. I ain’t never played pickleball myself, but I hear it’s popular with the youngsters and the old-timers alike. Who’s this Bitsy Grant fella anyway?
So, this whole place is named after some fella called Bryan M. Grant, Jr., but everyone calls him “Bitsy”. Must’ve been a small fella, I guess. Or maybe he was just quick on his feet, like a little bitty bug. I don’t know the whole story, but he must’ve been important enough to have a whole tennis center named after him. Maybe he was a real good tennis player, or maybe he just had a lot of money. City folk and their ways, I tell ya, always naming things after themselves or their rich buddies.
How do you get to play there?
Now, if you wanna play, you gotta book a court. It ain’t like back in the day when you could just show up and play. These days, you gotta do everything online, they say. You go on their website and book a court, and then you go play. It sounds complicated, but I guess it works. They even got some fancy billing system and all that. Like I said, city folk and their ways. If you have questions, they say you can ask them about it. They have a team who deal with those.
Is it any good?
Well, I ain’t been there myself, mind you. But from what I hear, it’s a pretty good place to play tennis. They got lots of courts, they keep ‘em in good shape, and it’s easy enough to get a court if you book it in advance. And they got these pickleball courts now too so I guess there’s something for everyone. If you like tennis or pickleball, I reckon you’d like Bitsy Grant.
