That’s a whole different story. It’s like David and Goliath, but Goliath’s got a whole army of Goliaths behind him.
- I saw on that TV thing, they played a game in Cincinnati. Folks were cheerin’ and hollerin’, but it was a tough watch.
- Then they played another one in Washington, and let me tell ya, it wasn’t pretty. The All Blacks, they just ran all over our boys. Scored so many times, I lost count. Someone said it was somethin’ like 104 to 14. That’s a whoppin’, ain’t it?
It’s like when you got a little bitty hen tryin’ to fight off a hawk. The hen’s got spirit, but the hawk’s just too big and too strong. That’s kinda how it felt watching them Eagles try to tackle them All Blacks. They were just too fast, too strong, and too darn good. Our boys got knocked around like rag dolls.
Now, I ain’t sayin’ our boys are bad. They’re workin’ hard, trainin’ and all that. But them All Blacks, they’re on a whole ‘nother level. They been playin’ this game since they were knee-high to a grasshopper. It’s like tryin’ to race a mule against a thoroughbred horse. The mule’s gonna try, but the horse is gonna win every time.
I heard England tried playin’ them All Blacks too, and they didn’t do much better. Only won one game out of eleven! Makes you think, don’t it? This rugby thing, it ain’t just a game, it’s serious business. And them All Blacks, they’re the bosses of it.
But here’s the thing, even if our boys get beat, they gotta keep tryin’. That’s what life’s all about, ain’t it? You get knocked down, you gotta get back up. You dust yourself off and you try again. Maybe one day, them Eagles will be strong enough to give them All Blacks a real run for their money. Maybe one day, they’ll be the ones doin’ the whoppin’. But until then, they gotta keep playin’ hard and learnin’ from the best, even if the best do stomp all over them sometimes.
Rugby matches like these, they show you what you’re made of. They show you who’s got the grit and who’s got the heart. And even though our boys got beat, I reckon they showed some heart out there. They didn’t give up, even when things got tough. And that’s somethin’ to be proud of, ain’t it?
So, yeah, that’s what I know about this USA vs New Zealand rugby. It ain’t always pretty, but it’s real, and it’s somethin’ to see. Just don’t expect our boys to win every time, not yet anyways. But who knows, maybe one day, they’ll surprise us all.
